I have a great love for birds. I’m not fanatical in the sense that I know all types and species but I’m intrigued by their grace and beauty. They are everywhere but still very mysterious; You don’t often have the opportunity to see them in great detail. They’re always moving, jittery when not in flight. The Pederson’s field guide was the primary inspiration for this project, the illustrations are very detailed and pretty. It got me thinking about capturing birds in flight against uncluttered backgrounds.
Paul is a Minneapolis based photographer shooting advertising, editorial and conceptual work and is available for national hire. His clean vivid style has an arresting visual impact.
