Internship Programs @ drift Gallery
DESCRIPTION OF INTERNSHIP:
The 2015 Internship Program at Drift Gallery, located on the historic grounds of the Wentworth-Coolidge Mansion, provides an opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of managing an arts organization and gallery. By assisting the Director and working with artists, interns will become familiar with the unique mission and location of Drift Gallery and become a part of its vibrant history.
Responsibilities include direct contact with the public, assisting with gallery publicity both online and in the community, cataloging incoming artwork and artist information, installing exhibitions, assisting with opening receptions and special events for the artists and the public, and general day-to-day operations. Spring/Summer/Fall interns generally maintain regular staff hours, no less than 3 days per week from 10 a.m.–5 p.m., Wednesday - Sunday. Academic credit can be arranged with the intern’s college or university. Drift Gallery is unable to offer a stipend.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Internships are ongoing throughout the year and are available in the Fall, Winter, Spring & Summer. Drift Gallery is currently interviewing interns for the Winter, Summer & Fall 2015.
